ADVANTAGE
Advantage of this kind of blankets is to be completely sealed: this characteristic allows the blankets to be used for aerospace, commercial, and military high temperature and internal exhaust system applications. This characteristic made the blanket resistant to any contamination (oils, fungus, detergent, lubricant…). The cover is designed through CATIA software starting from real surface of the involved part of the airplane. In this way the product could be completely integrated directly with the airplane interface with no installation trials or adjustments. The flexibility of the core materials permits the modelling of the blankets on every surface and dimension.
MATERIAL
The insulating material (density 50 to 300 kg/m3) is a micro-porous or fibrous inorganic material for high temperature applications with low temperature conductivity (variable form 0,030 W/m°K to 0,066 W/m°K function of the temperature raise).
Fire Shields meet FAA 2000°F 15 Minute Flame Test. Maximum Operating Temperature=250°C. The total thickness of the shield is various from zone to zone and goes from 3 to 25 nominal millimetres.
